My Bio

I hail from Jamaica, home of the highest maternal birth age and multiple birthing capital of the world …I should have known; as I woke up 44 with twins and no idea what to do next.

Prior to May of 2022, I lived a peaceful and charmed life filled with: reason, spontaneity and unspoken rules of civilized engagement (undefined, yet clearly understood), but that is all a distant memory. If my children have both of their shoes, a variety of snacks, water bottles, and backpacks of baubles together within twenty minutes of estimated/expected arrival, I consider the day victorious!

I went to UT, Case Western Reserve and Columbia University where I got way too many degrees and was able to delay adulthood for a very long time. I spent the first 29 years of my life as a professional dancer and philosopher. Then I spent 17 years teaching English, math and (mostly) manners, and now I'm at a loss how to teach my own children ANYTHING. That's why I'm ever so grateful for these teachers!

I'm so beholden to the MDS community, teachers, and parents for helping me in this new transition. Self-care is very important to me. I advocate for it. It's easy to lose yourself. Shout out to all the moms+. Bless and ever so grateful..
